At Imtrade CropScience, as an Australian, privately owned company, we see great benefit in supporting our community and contributing to the well-being of our society and those less fortunate than ourselves. Some of the small ways in which we contribute are below;
Involvement & Sponsorship of Grower Groups – Imtrade works closely with several grower groups across Australia to complete work that is valuable and relevant to growers in those areas. Imtrade provides both technical trial support and agronomic extension programs to the members of select grower groups. Through these partnerships, Imtrade provides invaluable insight into the efficiency and efficacy of agricultural chemicals, enabling growers to optimise agricultural chemical products in their production system. These partnerships are value-adding to the local community via the financial & technical resources provided.
Annual Sponsorship of the Challenger TAFE Laboratory Achievement Award – 2016 Recipient, Daniel HO. Previous recipients include; Jahlana ROE (2012), Janine BATGER (2013), Alexandra MAEERS (2014), Michael TIMLIN (2015).
Red Cross Blood Donations – Every year we get together our employees to make a group blood donation to the Red Cross. Last year we were awarded a certificate for 21 donations which will save 63 lives.
Intensive Recycling Program – In our business there can be a lot of wasted containers if the recycling is not managed appropriately. Imtrade has an intensive recycling program that sees the vast majority of packaging re-used or recycled in an effort to do our part reducing pollution of our environment. We also manufacture & promote the use of high-loading products which use less packaging and help to reduce our environmental footprint.
Conduct of Certificate IV Traineeships in Laboratory Techniques – We commenced government-recognised, work-based traineeships in March 2010 and since this time we have trained 5 laboratory personnel and 1 warehouse employee to certificate IV and diploma level in line with the Australian Qualifications Framework. In so doing we have mutually shared in the benefits of appropriately skilling staff, some of which have stayed and continue to contribute to our organisation and build their individual skillsets, while others have moved on to tertiary education in the Sciences, or travel or alternative employment in the mining and resources and other sectors.
Support of rural communities by manufacturing off-patent pesticides and breaking monopolies – Providing value to rural communities is important to us here and one of the ways we do this is by manufacturing off-patent products that have long been monopolised to reduce the bloated profits of Multinational Companies. Imtrade is also an innovator and invests large amounts of money developing products & blends to help our growers be more effective.
Support of Agriculture Students – Imtrade CropScience in partnership with Muresk Institute is offering industry placements for students completing the Integrated Diploma in Agriculture course.
